Weather conditions during the fishing season in Patagonia are good, with temperatures varying between 55 F and 85 F. In general mornings are calm but cool and afternoons windy, with occasional rainfalls.
For the months of November, December and April evenings can be cold due to the afternoon winds, therefore warm layers are suggested.
Here is a list of clothing to guide you
• Breathable waders, nylon or GORE-TEX.
• Wading shoes, rubber or felt soles (if you will be fishing on a boat please do not use studded soles).
•Breathable rain jacket, we highly recommend GORE-TEX.
•Windstopper fleece jacket.
•Fleece underwear pants and quick dry pants.
•Capilene undershirt layering.
•Warm socks for using in your waders.
•Quick dry fishing shirts, preferably natural colors.
•Fishing hat, sun gloves, and wool gloves.
•Sun block, polarized eye wear.
•Fishing vest.
Don't forget your personal medication.
We recommend you bring new equipment to prevent the spread of whirling disease and New Zealand mud snail. |
